1969 Cuda Grill Assembly Help

Yeah, I had a set restored years ago and the guy painted the front edges, which I told him not to. I then just sanded the black off the edges like you did. Not quite as neat a job and a pain to do because the edges are not all perfectly flat to each other due to the way they hook/lock together.

A pain for sure but worth the patience an effort. I could not get good coverage by just spraying from the backside and so much overspray was getting on the front that I just gave in. Fine emery paper worked best for me as like you say the fins are so uneven.

I see to many of them just completely blacked out and think they look much better when done correctly.

Now if you could take those sweet NOS baby's you have and lock em in the back room with a little "Barry White" playing or something maybe they would act like bunnies and multiply and all the 69 Cuda' and "S" Owners would rejoice!!!
