Another 416 on the dyno

Yup. I wanted to keep the velocity up for the bottom end so I kept the ports a bit smaller on the intake. I have ported the M1's out before and had some great top end power, but it sucked too much of the low end away. So its a bit of a compromise.

I just went thru this in the Spring. I spend about 15hrs porting out a Victor, got 596HP, but it killed the power under 4000rpm. It all worked out in the end(light car tall gears). But porting intakes is a lot harder to do than heads, and sometimes the time spent isnt worth the reward.
mike , do you know what runners are th weak ones on a 440 victor intake ? still haven`t got around to needin the lifters, will call tho, gettin antsy to start on the 505 again.----------bob:-?
