Is 950cfm gonna be too big?
go here, it is a little higher for a modified engine

an answer of 1 is
"Therotically" right on the money"
using 6000 rpm and 950 cfm for your 440 shows 1.24 which would be 24 percent too much
on the flip side....if you install a smaller carb hook up a vaccum gauge and at wide open throttle it doesn't go to zero you need more carb
I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade here...but I have had excellent results in the past using these two methods
this is a case where bigger is not always better, two huge mistakes a lot of hotrodders make:
1. too much cam
2. too much carb
