Any Thoughts on Air Compressor

I used some gas tank coating on mine when I got it. Red Coat. I got it from Oreillys. It works good, but it takes some time to dry. Mine took a solid week to dry completely, but it's plastic coated on the inside now.

Never though of that good to know.

My compressor is 22 yrs old 5 hp 220v and the pump is getting really tired, when you drain the tank it look like chocolate mixed with water...

Does anybody know how to test an old tank....safely
I know on autoclaves they hydo test them to 1.5 of operating pressure for certification.
