Jury duty

I already explained myself. Please do me the courtesy of re-reading my earlier post. In my working years I WAS NOT about to put my financial situation, my house, in jeopardy by getting stuck on a jury. I suspect you've been enjoying a couple of belts. Kindly do not judge me, for I can assure you that you know nothing of my attitude.

If I recall, back in the 80's--90's "up here" "their" idea of compensation for Jury duty was something like 15
bucks a day.

EDIT It's one hell of a lot less than that, I just looked it up PRESENT DAY:
==================================================================================
Compensation

"Jurors shall be paid $10.00 per day of actual court attendance. $5.00 shall be paid for 4 hours or less of actual court attendance."
Salary/Wage Reimbursement

Some places of employment pay regular wages while an individual is serving on jury duty. This is NOT a requirement, however, and the decision to pay wages is entirely up to the business.
