Just a heads up for any one going to Baughmans in york pa. It's a pick your parts yard. They are listing on CR about a sale of classic cars and parts. I went up there to see what they have and turned out to be a waste of time. Most cars are totally rusted out and well picked from. Very few parts left. I did find an incomplete cluth pedal assembly so I spent a while getting it out of a smashed dash and steering shaft only to find out he wanted $150 for the thing. It was missing some of the brackets and the clutch spring! Found a rusty but uncut duster dash. Way a little bent but looked fixable. It was nothing but the metal shell, all covered in surface rust but I thought I could use some build up primer to repair it. Worked for a while to get it out and he wanted $150 for that. The website has a price list BUT that does not apply to the classic parts.
I know, his parts, his prices. He did not want to haggle at all so I walked. I see cheaper prices at Mopar Carlisle and ebay.
Just do your self a favor and get the prices first before you waste your time pulling the parts.

x2, had similar experience the other day. Left parts on the counter for first time in 20 years. Just could not pay what he was asking. John's always been good to deal with in past, but I think he's been looking at high prices some people are asking online. Not sure what to make of the CL post. I suspect he will get rid of a few and rearange that back corner. If he crushes anything, he'll probably have his guys pick it clean first while they are slow in the winter. He's a Mopar guy and I seriously doubt he would destroy anything that could be used.

I live 1 hour from there and never went. He's been selling for years and I figured the cars were stripped clean.

Depends what you need. He has far more old mopars than anyone else in the area that I am aware of. In addition to the cars he has a lot of stuff packed into trucks and the building....

Who else has ANYTHING in the area? Most of them I have called either have little or nothing.

There's probably 10 or so 67-69 barracudas....picked up a set of rear window trim for my notchback for $100....and $20 for a front valance....Had these parts pulled and prices were pre-arrainged through one of his guys before I went there. HOWEVER!, when I got there to pick up the parts for the first time I asked if I could take a walk around and look at what he had there to see if there were any other parts I could take with me since I drove down there. So I walk around for awhile and before touching any cars with a wrench I walked back up to the office and talked pricing over with john.......super glad i did. He wanted a minimum of 2x for parts what I can get on craigslist, here, or fleebay...super insane pricing. Glad I didn't waste my time wrenching on his cars only to leave parts on his desk. He was very short with me about pricing and there was no haggling at all. Price was the price. The only one I can distinctly remember was a pair of scaled up upper a arms off a '74 duster. They'd obviously need new ball joints and bushings. He wanted over $100 for them and that was if I pulled them....No thanks. There was quarter window mouldings, vinyl top moulding, turn signals, seat frames, etc. etc., the list goes on...but everything I asked him about was severely overpriced. SO, I grabbed my rear window trim and valance with a smile on my face, handed him $120 and drove away still with a smile on my face but shaking my head wondering what had just happened....

PLUS....there was a '70 super bee there that still had the grilles.... didn' bother asking a price after hearing some of his other prices...
