i'm just wondering if u can use the stock lifter configuration, get some moderate lift without hurting anything, there will be probably eddy heads and some nice roller rockers on top......

That's what we're putting together. Stock valvetrain with hughes cam. everything looks good so far.
If you decide to run Hughes, make sure to get the proper cam for electric or mechanical fuel pump. Don't let them send you the "wrong" cam with the "adapter kit".... Disaster....
They told us that's all they had in stock at the time. I would have rather waited until the proper cam came in.
