Kickdown band lever ratios

I'd like to know the answer also.
Been told many different things.

I know I'm kind of thick, but this is the same stuff
I keep running up against as far as explanations.
Hope it gets hashed out once and for all in this thread
cause I put a 5.0 lever in my 727 and expect it will be fine.
