Is Moroso A-B epoxy good stuff? Anything better?

Run and brass sleeve in there. The sleeve will be supported around the pushrod hole. It's all too thin right now.

Then just smooth/fine sandroll until you see the sleeve poking through.

I think I will do that, the runner that has the 2 big holes has to be thin, I poked those with a thin pick. Thanks for the suggestion! What would happen if you were to put the epoxy in the runner, and on the outside of the runner where the pushrod is? With no brass sleeve?

Mettildart, can give you pictures,of stock Magnum ports. WHY?

Cool! I also have a set of cracked ones in the basement I forgot about, I could get a pic of those too. I was saying I wish I had a pic of stock intake runners to show Artie how big the pinch was on magnum heads, to show why I was opening them up so much.

I see why you would use a brass sleeve. I cut a peice in half, clamped it down, tapped it into shape with a blunt punch, and epoxied it in. So far, so good!

I see what you mean about the bulge man..how much room do you have for the push rod.If you have enuf I would cut that completely out and ether JB weld it or the moroso epoxy it with the tube.I have even used it on water ports.I would like to have a set of them to do.maybe I can find a set for my sons car.and could you show sum pic. when your done...thanks I have learnt some thing today:cheers:.......Artie

You are in luck! I just finished smoothing out the epoxy, I spent at least an hour with brake cleaner, small wire brushes, toothbrushes, purple clean, sandpaper, etc making sure I got the surface clean. I am just cleaning and inspecting the head, valves, etc, hope to have it all together this afternoon. I will snap some pics here in a bit of one of the untouched heads inthe basement, and some of the head with the epoxy. I would like to experiment someday with tubes, but these are for a friend, so I didn't want to go too overboard. Well, I guess I already did haha, but I wanted to use as little epoxy as possible.

I tried to get some pics, but it was getting dark and my phone/camera doesnt have a flash. Here they are:

Here is are some stock intake ports. I was just looking at the above pics, and I noticed how wavy the bottom of the port entrance is. I was showing my son how the dremel works (I used it with some sanding rolls to smooth the epoxy, which is perfectly level even though the pic doesn't look like it. Friggin pictures are bringin me down...) and I should have been watching a little more closely.
