Is there such a seat?

I'd love to keep the interior of my Dart all stock. The original vinyl on the bench is in decent shape (a few minor tears on the driver's seat, otherwise very clean)...but the seat is a major hinderence to enjoying the car on the back roads, even with stock suspension.

Can anyone offer suggestions on a reasonably period correct looking vinyl bucket that will hold the driver's butt in the seat?

What is the usual seatbelt solution?

I'm very interested in suspension/tire mods down the road...these would be pointless without more support.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Look up Cerullo seats, summit sells them, they area quality seat mid pricing. I have them in my dart now I'll try to post some pictures. I have head scar seats were not impressed, cheap foam, not well built, I bought there high end elite seats and had 4 of them cause lumbar was messed up. Unless it was a race car I would not go scat just my .02

I have yet to see a set of Sebring seats that look anything like period correct or sporty. I have been wanting bucket seats for a long time, nothing is cheap when you are looking at B or A body seats, the recovering alone is going to run you at least 400.00 not including the seats and tracks. I really like the look of summits racing bucket seat, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1159-2/overview/ But if I could ever find a set in good shape I would definitely go with the jaguar seat these 1998 era seats look like a new style A body seat, they look even better in black.

I could not find the thread, but there us a thread about these jaguar seats in an A body they look great!

I have the Procar Rally 1000 Seats and love them. Their mounting brackets fit perfect and the seats are very comfortable for me (5'11", 180 lbs). I have pictures of them in my car one page 1 or 2 of my build (see below).

To my knowledge there are no modern seats that will look like factory seats from the 60s. Most 60s through mid 70s seats wasn't really very comfortable when compared to todays standards. You either settle for a happy medium or stay with OEM seats out of the 60s through the mid 70s. I have seen some escort seats that didn't look too bad in an A-body but I don't consider them comfortable.

Here's what I put in my dart , Cerullo seats, they all custom brackets for our cars too, and straight from the company they can do custom materials too!

I have these leather seats from a 90 Nissan or lexus I forgot which, they weigh practically nothing. Been in my Signet maybe 20 years both front and back seats. They fit a lot better than seen here...

These jaguar seats are the closest I have seen to a 70's feel look at them side by side.

I used leather buckets from a 97 Pontiac Bonneville. They are super comfortable and hold you in place. I then had the upholstery shop recover my back seat to match them. The Bonneville seats have the seat belt buckle made into the seat, so I also got the retractable seatbelts. That way the car now has shoulder belts as well.
