http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news...sidered-says-anthony-bordain/article15133191/ I wish these people would mind there own business about things they know nothing about . I don't tell paul macartney how to play a paino . these people have no idea of our way of life here. if they knew there is an over populated herd of gray seals here in 1960 there was 3000 seals puping on sable island in 2012 there was over 350000 these animals eat 20 -35 lbs of fish per day.they don't understand the thousands of hard working familys this effects . to put a ban on all Canadian seafood is just insane. we are just barely making a living here now if they want us all to move to the city and take jobs away from other people . these people are hard working and very resorseful. im just saying its hard enough now without all this bullshit. rant over

After reading that article, I agree with you. I think before they criticize and boycott, they should visit all the people they are affecting. Let them see first hand, and then decide if their little "campaign" is more important than the well-being of humans.

Nothing worse than a do-gooder without a clue.

It's time to start a new organization. Call it PETH [People for the Ethical Treatment of Humans] Now it's our turn. Let's boycott these chefs' restaurants & TV shows. Stop buying their cookbooks. See how it feels to have your livelihood snatched out from under you.

I can still remember long ago PBS was interviewing Robert Redford, talking about how "green" his motorhome was because it had REDWOOD FLOORING

More and more people think they know what's best for others. Often they are the worst hypocrites. From what I've seen in my years in restaurants, when people want to eat something, their principles conveniently go out the window.

thanks for your comments I like to hear them good or bad . I must state that I have no involvement in the commercial seal hunt but I know families that do .

Apparently they have never seen the movie (the lion King) or know anything about the circle of life................Artie

that's like a hog farmer built a bigger building for more hogs up here on the MT. they had a big meeting up at the college in Emmitsburg with some kid of authorities to try and get rid of it.and they had snak trys there with what they called finger food.and guess what the little 1/4 sandwiches were yep you got it ham chess :banghead: Omy they never got there papers signed and since then the farmer has expanded he now raises 40,000 hogs on a rotating basis  and when I have a pig roast my hogs are free....and I get all my property fertilized for free...and man what a smell shooooooooooo doges.but it only lasts for 2 or 3 days:cheers:............Artie

Sea Lion in NoCal remind me of this. Take over docks, sink boats and you can't do anything about it.

Like everything, there needs to be balance.

"celebrites should mind there own business"

I completely agree, and that applies to more than just the subject in the OP.
