Repainting White Recessed Lettering on 64 Valiant Dash Bezels
Thanks for the advice, I went with the tape off, spray and wipe method.
What I learned. If you have it, use your extra wiring harness tape to mask off the areas you do not want spray on. It is easier than electrical tape to stick to the contours of your bezels and comes off easy.
Spray 2 at a time, wait a couple minutes, then quickly remove tape and wipe. I did all 4 at once and didn't wait. The first one was a little too wet (smeared too much) and the last one a little too dry on the wipe off. After each wipe pass use another clean part of the rag. I used regular paint thinner and white spray paint I had in the garage. The masking tape stick and pull may work better but i did not try that as I read the previous post after work done
Here is the finished product, I am happy with the results.
Apparent smudges on the finished picture are light reflections and not residual paint.
