I am in the last stages of completing the engine rebuild and 4 Barrell conversion on the 273 in my 68 Dart, and it looks like I have to modify the accelerator cable and kickdown linkage.
I am looking for a couple of pictures of the original 4 Barrell linkage so I can make one the same, and also do I have to modify the accelerator cable.

Im using an Eddy Thunder series AVS and Eddy Performer Intake.

Can anyone supply pictures of an original 273 - 4 Barrell kickdown bracket (that bolts 2 the inlet manifold)

Would the standard small block four barrel bracket work?

They are available through Mancini racing to save the trouble of fabricating one.

I checked the Mancini small block bracket and it doesn't accommodate the factory kickdown linkage.
I was hoping to keep the engine bay original looking, so if I can find a picture of the 273 4 barrel bracket, I would make one. That is unless there is an original bracket for sale somewhere

Dude, I just went to the back garage and took some pictures for you. Give me 20 - 30 minutes to download, rename, resize, and post them for you.

I do think that Mancini has one that may work.

I have an original 65 4 barrel throttle cable bracket mounted to the intake. I can take a picture or two tomorrow if that will help.

Please post your pictures also so we can compare 65 to 67.

2 barrel throttle cable will work IF you use the correct 273-4 barrel throttle bracket. Any other will require a longer cable.

Correct 1967 Commando/Charger setup....

Hey krazy...that extra bracket on top of the throttle bracket doesn't belong....don't know what that'd be for (cruise control maybe??), but the main throttle bracket you have is correct.

That's what came on it. The seller told me that it was an all original 67 273 4bbl engine. From what I can tell, it's all stock and has the correct Commando valve covers for 67.

Maybe someone knows what it is for...

Awesome pictures. Thanks guys. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I will check the difference between the brackets.

Hey Krazy. Do you think you could measure the length of the kickdown lever for me???

Which piece? One of the three rods? (carb to upper pivot, upper pivot to trans pivot, trans pivot to trans).

I'm not quite sure what piece you are asking about and how you want me to measure it. As soon as I can figure out what you need, I can do it.

Thanks 65. Do you know if anyone makes a reproduction bracket??

Actually if you could measure all three, that would be great, then I can check them against my 2 barrel linkages.

You can use 2 of your 3 - 2 barrel kickdown linkage rods...the only different one is the upper rod, from bellcrank to carb.

Not a correct one. The ebay ones need a longer throttle cable.

This is the measurement I need.

The bracket looks the same as a standard 4 barrell bracket.

If its the same, I can just get this one from classic industries, and then I will need to find the kickdown linkage.

Ok, for the rod in the picture, you are looking at slightly over 9 3/4"... like 9 13/16".

For the middle rod = 13 1/4" ~ 13 3/8" (adjustable)

For the bottom rod = 9 1/2"

These measurements are from center point to center point of attachment, ignoring bends.

Thanks for the measurements Krazy. :notworth:
Now I can check everything is correct when the engine goes back in.

Here are a bunch of photos of my original 273-4 as installed in the car. At least they don't have that additional bracket in the way. Click on the link text to get to my Flickr page.
