Need help on identifying a set of heads that I have. These are Indy heads with the number 3327 and 308054 on the heads. I need to know if these are the SR heads? I'm using 2" TTI headers now but from I have read I need to use the 2 1/8" TTI step headers with and different K member for a 71 Dart. I already purchased Hemi Denny front end so I think I got that problem solved.

Tried to find you some head info, but striking out. I can tell you the HDK is going to give you a ton of room. I put some pics on my build thread for my 72.

The SR/EZ heads take std rockers, the 440-1 heads take the .800 offset on the intake.

Post some pics

Is that all you can tell me about the heads? The numbers on the side of the heads, 3327 and 308054 don't mean anything?

Those look like 440-1 heads to me? My 440-1 heads had the same IHC 440-1 markings

If those are 440-1 and you want a set of new roller rockers, check my classified ad.

Here are some pictures of the exhaust side of the heads. I looking at buying some Harland Sharp 1.6 rockers. I also have to buy new headers.

Would calling Indy do any good? Do you think they have old part numbers or be willing to help identify these heads? I would hate to buy the wrong roller rockers.

I would call an Indy dealer like Dwayne Porter or another dealer with good customer service. Calling Indy won't likely get you too far.

If your pushrod hole is close to being in line with the valve on the intake valves, then it is the SR heads and uses std rocker arms. If the pushrod hole is off to the side and not lined up with the intake valve then it is the 440-1 head and requires .800" offset rockers.

UH, I am no expert on these or any head for that matter, but in your first picture it appears the number 440-1 is embossed right there but the 1 after the dash is machined out....So wouldn't these be 440-1 heads?????????

All the intake valves line up with the valves so I have the SR heads according to the MRL posting from Mike Liston. Thanks for your help. I will be buying new 1.6 rockers and TTI step headers very soon.

Pushrod tunnels

Here is what the pushrod tunnel looks like on a 440-1 head. If yours are more toward the intake port(read pushrod pinch) then you have the SR heads.

Between the information you gave me and the pictures I now convinced I have the SR heads. Thanks Mike!

Those are definitely early INDY "SR" castings, basically true to the original "Zeeker" patterns when INDY first screwed the poor guy. Fore-runner to the later EZ.

If I had a nickel for every set of those I Sold and Ported back in the 90's as an INDY Dealer here in Canada, I would be rich !
