PHR 361 "Forgotten Motor" Build - 618HP, 520 Torque - Good Read!

Just small in cubes. The 383 is bigger by 22 cubes of bigger bore. Just like the 318 - 340 22 cube differance. Since there a short stroke big block, they act like big small blocks. And you can always see the wonderful warming response when anybody says they wanna do up there 318. (Super sarcasim intended there)

From the factory they have what's needed to perform well or better when modified. This build is no longer a 361 cube engine anymore than what you would say about a 360 to 408 stroker. I feel it was a misleading title.

I'd really like to see what a 361 can really do, not a stroked 361. I don't know how well the heads can flow but the stock valves sizes are right for some good performance.
Anybody know what heads came on the 361 and what the can be ported out to with stock valves?
Basically 60-62 361-383-413 used casting#2206324....in 63 they went to#2463200 casting...64-67 361-383 went to the 2406516 all with 2.08 and 1.60 valves...some early b rb heads 58-61 used a 1.95/1.60 valve combo..this info came from MOPAR PERF BBLK B-RB ENGINES[part # P4876825]
