Diabetic folks

....being an odd duck, I am a type 2 as well but I am insulin dependent.

A lot of good info in the previous posts. I cannot exercise so I too add a bit more insulin for the odd piece of pecan pie :)

We use different numbers up here I see...to be in the zone, you are between 3.6 and 6.7.

Some foods that you think are safe, are really bad for the blood sugar like the rice crisps.

..back years ago,I was on pills..eating correctly and exercising ..I was just about ready to go off the pills when the pills no longer worked..hence the more to insulin..

Cannot remember if mentioned but the body goes into sugar production about 3 am ..

BTW, most type IIs can tell if they are over or under.. when I am over, I just get sleepy...big problems if I go under..
