I breaks my heart to see rare mopars stripped down like that. Ive already got my own lost cause 340 car I'm trying to save. Its costing a small fortune and it came with most of the rare hard to find parts. Scoring the parts for that cuda vert would take years and an unlimited budget. I suppose if you had nice 6 banger bcuda and 340 and 727 trans, 8 3/4 rear, small bolt 10inch drum brake set up, and another 20k it would be a piece of cake !

Well they aren't making more of them, everybody and their asshole has a 6 cyl or 318 car. That's the ones I part out to save the rare ones. You can get the undercarriage parts from a valiant too. I already have a bunch of parts for it anyway. I'll worry about it and get it back to were someone can put it back together. It's what I enjoy!

Nope, they aren't making them anymore, but that car is beyond a reasonable restoration. If that's what you like to do, have at it. I like to build cars, too, just not from that far gone...

There isn't too much more missing than what would have been removed before rotisserie mount. Anyone who has all those missing parts would likely have a chassis too. Nothing but those documents would be of interest.
Good luck to the seller.

why is everyone so worried about what it would sell for when finished ....if you cant build a car for the car then your in the wrong hobby.

Someday it might be worth the coin to restore. If it was restored today one would need to take great care of it so their X years old restore wouldn't need a redo when its value got right for a sale.
In my opinion, any of the made in China reproduction parts hurt a restore. To do it right would mean buying OEM made under the pentastar parts and have those professionally restored. Big buckets of coins in that route.
For my money invested in restoring today, it would need to be a superbird, rare e-body, or a pre war anything. Then again, If I had the coin to invest in it, I might buy it as a future build and start gathering the parts for it. Those parts certainly aren't getting cheaper by the day huh ? Well, those parts being replaced by made in China are a little cheaper and easier to find that they were 10 years ago. I guess that's a plus.

I probably have most of the parts to save that car but certainly don't need another project. I can't even sell the one I have for the same price that is mostly there. Somebody should buy this one and my parts car and make one car.

I have most parts to restore that car except the bucket seats and glass but I wouldn't touch it. There are many many parts needed for that car that are convertible only so that limits your supply.

Convertible specific parts...
All glass except windshield
Rear seat
Exterior windshield trim
Top switch
Boot trim on the back of the seat
Boot trim around the back where the top attaches
Liner attaching straps
Rear plastic panels besides the seat
Special arm rests for the panels
Special ash trays for the panels
etc....

The list above will set you back some cash if you can find nice parts.

Well I have most of the parts for it. I may be tapping faboand any other place I can to gather the parts. I have a back seat, windshieldtrim, top trim, rear end, frame rails, inner sheet metal, etc.etc. etc. . I already have my dream car, A 69 barracudaconvertible, factory 340 4 spd. , I just like saving rare old mopars. especially that no one else sees value in. I mayjust start a resto thread on it. It would keep me motivated and I could proveit can be saved on a budget. I don’t have to make it a 100 point car. Just getit to the point where someone else can take it over. Get all the metal work outof the way, get it back rolling and fairly complete.

The ad has been "Deleted by author" now. Did you buy it RagTop340? I hope so. I had seen the ad about a month ago and if I weren't so short on hours at work, I would have made an offer. I personally don't see any of it as being all that difficult, just time consuming. I would have like to have started with a '67-69 notch donor, but any '67-up A-bdy would have been useable. Again, not a 100 point car, just a fun 'vert driver.

Andy you kick ***! Just when I thought you Ca. boys were all spoiled with rust free sheet metal, you come along and redeem your whole state :D On the add, I just tried to delete a duplicate post. I haven't purchased it yet. about another week or two and i'll get it, ....if nobody else grabs it. I really appreciate everybody's opinions. Some pissed me off at first, but I figured it takes all kinds, and if someone is happy with a clone or anything else, at least we are enjoying cars and keeping them on the road. Maybe it will give me the motivation to knock this thing out!
