New Here, finally got my fish

The year one carpet kits fit great but like always you will have to do some trimming(dont expect it to fit right in!) The quality is great! I would always recommend year one! best quality for the price!

Car looks great, my condolensces as well. For door panels DONT go year one. Go Legendary...Year one doesnt even do the cutouts for arm rests, they cheap out huge. Plus Legendary is cheaper. I spoke to both companies on the phone and Legendary by far is nicer and has a personality.

Thanks guys! I have one more police physical this Saturday but next Saturday I should be able to make it over to the shop to pull the dash out and the glass so those areas can be prepped for paint, as well as put the new hinges in. In the mean time I think the goal is to get the engine compartment and the wheel wells in primer / paint as well as the trunk that way we can start rocking and rolling with it.

After doing some research, I've come to this as well. I ordered the orig. style headliner and arm rests from Legendary, and the headliner and arm rests are spot on to the orignal one. I have their front seat upholstery kits already and the quality on those are top notch.

Fastfish- I also learned that ACC makes the majority of the carpet kits out there, and stockinteriors has really good prices on their kits, so i'll probably just go that route when it comes time.

I stopped by this Saturday and they had the car wet-sanded and told me hopefully it will be painted this upcoming week. They still have to undercoat the front wheel wells and the rear, paint the inside of the trunk, and then it can finally be painted. At first I thought I wasn't going to like this color but after seeing it in person, my opinion has changed.

Hopefully I get the car back soon, as I have until February before I leave for basic and there is still a lot I need to get done on it.:burnout:

I would skip the undercoat:blob:

normally I would say yes to this as it is known to trap water and moisture behind it, but in this case the car will only be driven in the nice weather and stored properly where I don't see moisture being a problem. Plus my car is a factory undercoated car and it has preserved it fairly well. The way I look at it is; I wont have rock chips in the wheel wells, it will always look clean and in the event that I do get some wear in it, I can always touch it up fairly easy.

Congrats! Beautiful work...:thumleft:

I have to ask.....Mods, why hasn't this thread been moved to the resto forum by now?
