while installing the new engine/lighting harness I found a heat shield. I have never seen one before and it appears it is to protect exhaust heat from the brake proportioning valve. It must be a 383 thing but even with that I have had a few in the past that didn't have this..? factory or home made? i cleaned it up, painted and re-installed it.
