. If I wanna make an old school hot rod,

Where do I find a model motor first gen Hemi?

Do you guys have any advice on era correct wheels or jacking up the rear? (How much? Model springs?

Do you guys ever put people in your car models?

Do you guys ever put lights into the cars?

Any other advice? It's been 24 years since I built a model bomber.

 
Well the merc also came with a second engine.

A Chrysler engine. Anybody want to guess what kind?

So I went out to buy supplies:
Spray paint 2 cans at $6.19 each
Testors paint bottles X5 at $1.59 each
Model master paint bottles X2 at $3.79
Knife $3.99
Brushes $ 8.98
Thinner $ 10.99 - I am returning
Clear spray can $5.79
Some cragars $ $3.99
Testor paint kit (8 colors) $14.99
Glue $2.79
& a willy's drag coop for the blown Hemi, suspension, etc for parts $25


This an expensive hobby to try and rekindle.

I will buy some thin tape from the autoparts store to cover the trim I paint in order to paint the body - a deep dark red. Which seems to be the most popular color of cars in the parking lot at work.

Any suggestions for interior, under carriage, and engine bay & uploading pictures from my phone while on vacation are most welcome & would be greatly appreciated.
