Magnum Wagons??

-
I was thinking about one but now I want a twin turbo Ford Flex instead. 3 rows, better mileage, 4500 pound tow rating. I think the interior seems much nicer. I'm looking used and they do cost more then a used awd Hemi Magnum but not that much. 2010s with 60k are low 20's.
They even make tuners that will put them in the 12's on their stock all season tires!
OK maybe not 12s but 13.4 and 12s with a tuner and meth.

The issue with the shifter was a little plastic piece that releases the shifter when you put on the brake pedal. If it breaks you can pop out the cell phone holder and there is an access hole to press it manually.

what ever was wrong with our **** box shifter that did not work. tried it and the damn thing still wouldn't come out of park.

because that manual release only works if the interlock spring clip is NOT broken. When it breaks you have to go onto the left side of the shifter and manually push in the interlock cable, easy to do once you know about it. Almost everyone that got towed into the dealership for shifter issues was drivin into the shop this way !

So has Dodge fixed the problem, or do they just keep selling you a new shifter assembly with the same junk plastic part?
Here's the metal replacement part I used. Pretty sure I paid around the list price of $50 a couple years ago.

Just found they now have it on ebay for $15. Looks like a limited sale -5 left (make that 4, I got 1 for next time I find someone that needs theirs fixed)

They completely redesigned the shifter in 08.
If you meant the replacement parts I cannot answer that. Our charger is an 08.

I have a 06 300 with the 3.5 and its now at 100k miles the only thing that's been done to the car besides regular maintenance is one tie rod end and a set of rotors on the front. it gets mid to high 20's on the interstate and around 20 mpg around town,,i was gonna get the hemi but it's my wifes car and if I aint driving a hemi she aint either..im selfish like that..other than that it's the most comfortable car I have ever had awesome heated leather seats and the best cruise control in the business look forward to getting it out of winter storage every spring..it should be very close to the magnum I would say

I don't think that shifter interchanges to the older cars. Mopar does have a replacement for 'the pink thingy' - looks like it is made of white plastic , but I would guess that most dealers would replace entire shift assembly with original style and don't even want to know what they charge for that job. I figured with metal I would only have to replace it once... I see Dorman makes it also, don't know what material.
