383/400 stock stroke recipe's!

My dad's 71 Challenger...Shortblock was built in the early 80s, with a shoestring budget. It gets torn down about once a decade to check it over, but has been bulletproof.

Early 70s 400, forged 383 crank, block has been decked a lot, stock rods/pistons, don't know the CR, cranking compression around 180 psi. Comp 292 .501 cam, Perf RPM, Holley 800 DP, Hedman 1 3/4 headers, and he added a set of Stealth heads with a quick bowl cleanup late this year. With a 10" B&M converter and 3.23 gears, it's clicked off a 12.6 @ 108. It ran 13 flat with the home ported 906 heads he had on there before.

He's putting 4.30s in it (I currently have his set and might be going to one of the sets of 3.91s we have or I'll pick up another set of gears) and is shooting for low, low 12s or high 11s next year.
