my first mopar, will i love it or hate it?

When I was 16, I found a 1970 plum crazy duster 340, might have been a 4-speed but can't remember...I wanted it real bad but it had lots of bondo and was not very nice....but was a driver. My dad had the final word and said "no"...it needed a lot of work and was a real hack job...but all I seen was the 340 engine and I wanted it LOL

I was pretty upset, all summer, we looked for the right Mopar for me...nothing in particular, just a nice cool 2-door that was in good shape. Well, one day, we were working and we drove past a building where there was a 1974 Satellite sitting outside, dad seen it and it had a For Sale sign in it and said "hey, want to stop and look at it?" I said "no"...but he turned around anyway and pulled in the lot, he got out (I didn't) and looked...then went inside and found the guy selling it and asked more about it, got his number, then called him later that day and we went to look at it some more. I still wasn't thrilled...it was a big brown car...I liked the A-Body cars....

Well, I was getting a little more excited when we were on the way there, when we got there the car was in great shape, it was a Sebring Plus with a 318, all original, decent interior and a newer paint job and very little bondo, rock solid floors.....a price was agreed and I was soon driving home my very first car.....which I still own to this very day and would never sell it :glasses7:

I learned a lot on this car, blood, sweat...and many tears.....swapped in a sweet new 340, new drivetrain, Road Runner hood and factory bucket seats.....hope to restore this car someday and pass it along to one of my kids

Sorry for the long story, but I love my first Mopar, even though it was not my first choice....I absolutely love it...I wish you the best of luck with yours :headbang:
