383/400 stock stroke recipe's!

OK Rob, the Capitan I have been drinking has put me in a story telling mood LOL :glasses7:

I bought a 1966 Chrysler New Yorker for a winter beater, it had a 1969 383 4bbl from a Road Runner and a 3:23 sure grip rear that a guy dropped in, that car hauled ***!!! Think I paid $450 for it...I was 18 and when I drove it home into my parents driveway my dad was pissed off....it was the first car I bought on my own hee hee.....When I bought it it had a Carter AFB bolted by only 2 bolts to a AVS intake lol...I swapped on a AVS carb shortly after....then went out beating the piss out of it.....it was the most fun car I ever had, it took a beating and then some....one Sunday night in town all the old cars used to hang out in a big parking lot on the main drag...right in front of the crowd I raced a 1966 Impala SS 396 car...and beat him!!!! He was so pissed....his car was restored and hot rodded...my NY only had an electronic ignition kit and a shift kit installed...Mopar Rules!!! My car had a bone stock 69 383 4bbl and the original c-body 440 exhaust manifolds.....

Here are some old pics I scanned of an average weekend we spent as punks LOL...the car could sure lay some serious rubber, even for a C-Body :burnout:
