In this state it seems to be related to tresspass, and you know how ridiculous those laws can get......public nuisance, disturbing the peace, etc, very very vague, and applicable "if we can't think of anything else."
When in doubt lock it in the car. Or carry something similar to what I do, as long as your don't have a pair of tight fitting chick style jeans on no one will see it in your pocket......hell, I used to carry one of these on me in the PO......for years....only on the days I was going to see my Tattoo guy. Used to have to go thru one of the worst parts of Phoenix to get there.....Maryvale....
