I am a Chrysler Freak, but my heart belongs to a 1964 Valiant Station Wagon named Bonnie! I found her on eBay, bought her from a Farmer who drove her for a long time, then sold her with 107,000 miles on her. I am getting her running after she has sat for eight years. Not impossible, she has a slant six, replace the brakes and fuel tank and clean out the carburetor and she'll go! THEN the fun starts, I have everything I need but a few essentials. A Holley one barrel (I'd like to find two for my Offenhauser 2 X 1, Manifold!) and I'd like to find an original, re-build able, 273 L Series Motor, not the LA motor, the original L Motor, the original 1964-66 vintage. Other than that I got it all, I've spent eight years collecting the bits n' pieces! Now I am ready to build/restore/customize! Anyone have Holley One lungers for sale?? :burnout:

Welcome to FABO!! Got any pictures of the wagon? Sounds cool :glasses7:

Well, LOL we all have to start sometime. My first Mopar "experience" was when a friend's Dad bought him a brand new Orange Peel 69 383 RR, in the fall of '68. Mine happened a a little later, in spring of '70 when I bought a used '69, and later, a friend's '70 440 sixpack RR.

My present Dart is my first "Model A." How I missed these little cars all these years is beyond me!!

Welcome to FABO!You might wanna try posting an ad in the Cars and Parts Wanted forum for your specific 273 search. We also have an Early A bodies Forum for your reading/viewing pleasure.Enjoy!

Get dual carbs and install on Offy Manifold. Fix the brakes (Convert to discs on the front!) replace the fuel tank and radiator and drive the car while I fix my work truck (Chevy S10!) When the dime is done, tear the motor out for a full blue print rebuild. Over size valves, turbo charger Camshaft, full blue print and detail the reciprocating assembly. de-burr and smooth the block and head, port match the head/intake/exhaust manifold and clean-up all the ports. T3/T4 Turbocharger ad my 3 X Webber manifold converted to port injection with a Megasquirt3 engine management system. 4L60E transmission with a stand alone ECM to program it. 8 3/4 Rear end with disc conversion and 3.55 gears. Subframe the unibody and body drop the Wagon over the frame, mini tubs, 4 link, Watts Linkage, coil overs and dial it all in so everything plays well together. Then do a WW2 Bomber interior with all the 'make it silent' goodies and my primo stereo put to work for those long trips to Idaho, Washington, Oregon and colorado to visit the rest of the family after I retire in 2019.

I little background, the cars I've had in the order I've had them,
64 valiant post, /6, 3 on the tree.
66 Belvedere II, slant six, A727.
64 Valiant V200 Station Wagon, /6, A904 and fully optioned, LOVED this car, should have kept it!
1970 426 bracket racing Cuda.
64 valiant 4 door, slant six, a727 (From a Taxi!) Gear vendors OD, 4.88 gears, a solid 13.40 bracket racing car.
1970 Plymouth Fury III, 440, A727, 3.23 Banjo all stock
1968 Chrysler, Newport, 440 from a Nevada Police Pursuer, Built with 10.25 compression, Isky Cam, 3.23 gears, A727 and ran 140 MPH like it was 65 any time I wanted to, A/C on and the stereo blaring!
1974 used CHP cruiser, Monaco "Blue's Mobile" complete with Black paint and white doors. Stripped to the bare essentials, put 2,000,000 miles on that car before I sent it to Mopar Heaven. Then I was lost for a while, a Datsun PL521 work truck
Ford Courrier
Isuzu P'up Diesel
1995 S10 4 Banger X 5 speed
and my Current work truck
2003 S10 4.3 bent six, 4L60E, LS three door, ZQ8. Hate the motor, always misses, the only reason I keep this truck is simple....31.6 MPG!

Today I am 57 years young and looking for my first love, and I found her!

My ultimate goal, to own My wagon, a Post, 2 door, 64 with a 273, my S10 and several Reverse Recumbent Trikes.
