Just bought a 1972 Duster stroked 340. Was full time drag car. Gonna run it on the street! It had an electric water pump on it with a single drive pulley to run alternator. I have located a mid 80's truck with a 360 in it and it has the complete front drive pulleys and all. My car does not have power steering, but will someday! Question is.... Does anyone know if I can use this set up? My crank pulley has 6 mounting bolts, as does this 360. Rassembling the motor now....stroker with H-beam rods, 340+6 block.

welcome from s.jersey

have pictures of what you have and what pulleys are on the truck motor?

either vehicle have a/c?

in the end this is basically what you want to have for ps and no a/c. use the measurements to make sure you get the right parts..

Welcome to FABO from another 72 Duster owner.

Manual steering isn't really all that bad, builds up the arm strength, but really when the car is in motion the steering is fairly decent, you just can't steer with 1 finger.

Got any pics of the car? Let's see what you got.

Thanks for the GREAT reference photos! Will post photos soon! Tore engine down due to coolant/oil mix. It is being reassembled now...Christmas got in the way! Will photo reassembly and progress! Got needed pulleys/brackets...but p/s conversion is now on back burner, due to "investment" in engine repairs! LOL!!
