1971 Match Race ~ 'Duster 340' vs. 'Boss 351 Mustang'

I'm late here, but thanks for this thread Paul "69 Cuda 440."

I've posted before that I think the Boss 351 was the most powerful small block to come out of the American factories in the muscle car era.

Don't get me wrong, I love the SBM, but I have to give credit where it's due. In as delivered configuration, my opinion is it was the best of the bunch.....including the 70' LT1, and I have driven both.

Rick,how interesting you made that statement.... A few years ago,Hot Rod magazine, actually took this to heart. The LT-1 ,didn't win.... Fwiw,a well built Cleveland/Boss 351 is just like a FE Medium/High Riser 427. A well built engine,with lots of work. Sorry 69 440.....
