Back in a a body oh yeah

Well it's been a while since I updated this thread. Not much done on the duster life kinda slows things down especially with two girls in school who are very active with sports. I did get the heater box mocked up i will take pics soon. I also bought disc brakes off a 74 dart for the front and rear disc off a cherokee for the 8.25 rear. I also upgraded to a bigger air compressor in the shop and traded the little 30 gallon oilless craftsman compressor for some new wheels for it since I'm going to big bolt pattern. I got some rear18x9.5 and 18x8 fronts and the tires all have about half tread so I thought I got a good deal.

Well had a few free hours this weekend to work on the duster. However 30 degrees and a non heated shop didn't sound to welcoming. Luckily my engine is in my days nice heated shop the truck it came out of only had 60,000 miles and good so I just checked a few rod bearings which looked real good and decided to clean it up and paint before putting new gaskets on it. Cleaned it up and then epoxy primed it then the toxic orange color and clear coat.

Well want to keep moving on this project even if it's little stuff so I took a couple hours to clean throttle body. While I was at it I also removed the air horns and ported the bores smooth. I had seen this done by Dakota guys and did it to one of my Dakota's years ago. Don't know if it adds any power but seemed to help throttle response on my Dakota. I also cleaned it up and painted it.

Well a little update I have been doing a little bit of stuff for the car. I need to take some pics but have almost finished modifying my cluster to except new aftermarket gauges. I also have been busy cleaning up all the brackets and accessories for the engine. Today I picked up a real nice front bench set for 50 bucks it was recovered about 2 years ago and looks good.

Well not much to update I did buy a hellwig front sway bar for it off eBay for 100 bucks. The biggest news is after so long of not much going on with the car my wonderful wife helped Me out. She said why don't you just have a shop built at the house so you can work on the car more instead of having to go over to your dads. So hopefully in a month the duster will have its own place and the project will really get going.
