I'm a bit confused by your post. How do you know it is not a factory case? It sounds like you have seem a lot if these but everyone is different.

You say,"I could be wrong but this is definitely not a feather duster or overdrive case."

It sounds like you know your stuff but it's hard to take much away from that statement.
