Anyone ever used a Multiplaz welder?

Looks good to me, but as I struggle with deciding on my first welder I need some real world usage reports.
Can't lay out $2K on advertising claims alone!

Depends what you want to do with the welder. I have a Lincoln Square Wave 175 TIG and one of the Eastwood 130 MIGs. The TIG is more flexible and welds steel and aluminum but takes some practice to be good. The 130 MIG is faster to learn and will handle sheetmetal up to about 1/8 inch (not 1/4 as Eastwood would tell you). I am actually planning to replace the 130 MIG with the larger Eastwood 175 so I can run thicker metal. MIG is definitely faster than TIG in putting down welds. If you want your welds to be pretty AND strong, get a TIG and practice, practice, practice...... If you only weld occasionally, go with the MIG.
