I painted my cuda body color but being a driver it didn`t look great for long. I think you may regret it as it will get real dirty and beat up looking quick if you drive it too much-especially white!. My road runner is more of a resto so will be grtay primer with overspray. Not sure what I would do if I did my cuda again but probably use a factory looking undercoating everywhere.

Very true the main reason I painted it this way was because I wanted the front trans floor tunnel ( between frame rails ) painted white like the engine bay plus the rear of the spare tire well white and couldn't figure out a good way to break it between the white and black plus as I do not paint that much it gave me some practice

I too had my car on jacks and finished my underside on my back. TremClad semi-gloss black rustpaint with a brush, with rubberized undercoating in the wheel wells. If this was a rotisserie job I would have probably gone with body color although I'm pleased with how it turned out. Also been using "hammerKote" Charcoal Grey rattle can for the underside bolt-ons. Will do the engine compartment body color when I get to that point.

Looks great! The best choice. One reason I did not do black is to be able to see better when you have to get under there to work on it.

Not an A body but my friend has an original 66 hemi Coronet(he bought it new) and it is black underneath. Dennis

original style dark grey sealer/primer nicely detailed on a '69 Dart

I have to admit I used gloss black Krylon under my 69 383-S Barracuda over 20 years ago. I am amazed how it still looks good today.

I decided when I fixed mine up, it was more of a preservation than a restoration. I wanted to drive it and couldn't afford NOS stuff.
