thanks for the input guys, My dad ended up buying an Eastwood 175 amp MIG welder with a spool gun. (He has a lincoln 100Amp now that is starting to have issues)

Just ordered one of those myself to replace the 130 MIG I have. Couldn't pass up on the free shipping....
