Loads, trailers and tow rigs that should have never been on the road.. Add yours

Back in 1971, wife and I were moving from SD to IL. We had 70 Duster 340 4spd w 3.91 gears and put bumper hitch on it and 5x10 uhaul trailer behind it. It pulled it just fine, until!!! Wife was following in her Falcon, and wanted to drive Duster. On I80 the trailer started to weave and she couldn't get it to stop. She then hit brakes and trailer went sideways and flipped on side and skidded on its side. Duster rear went up off wheels and stayed upright when hitch twisted. Wife was ok, just shook up. Wrecker came turned trailer upright, took it to shop. We straightened hitch, checked for damage, and hit road again. Made it to new home, unpacked with only one thing inside damaged. Sure glad we bought the equipment damage waiver. Only cost $50 deductible. Better to be lucky than smart, I guess.
