Sayhey!. I joined b4 the HNY and have just started on my "69" Barracuda Nback. I bought it local in Pekin, IL mostly becuz my wife's brothers are all gearheads and the price was right. It is a bucket seat, column automatic, 318, numbers matching, 77,000 mile car. (has a fender tag, but poor condition) Single biggest issue.....too many IL winters!!!!
It started after a short 2 into 1 carburetor OH, and seems to have good compression (per test)
Basic plan is to restore, build engine to 400 hp spec (per Hot Rod mag) and teach wife how to do a smoke show in her brothers driveway..hahahaha.
Any advice (both ways) is welcome, 12-pack Shiner Bock visits, or just chit-chat is ok by me. FYI....what hair I have is grey and I guess this isn't my first rodeo.
