I was told when I was younger "don't go looking for trouble, trouble will find you". I told my sons the same and if trouble finds you take care of it and I will deal with the school. My sons aren't as big as I was when I was their age so I wanted them understand I support them if they are defending themselves and to not take any **** from anyone. Today most kids are being taught NOT to defend themselves and have someone else do it for them. Only way to learn and understand is do it yourself. My 2 cents.

Told my girls the same thing. They said we can get in trouble, I told them if they were in the right I would back them 100%. Same token if they were in the wrong and it could be proven, I would back the school 100%.

All three of them went through school without a scuff until my youngest got into 11th grade. She flapped her mouth to the wrong person and got flattened. She went to the office boo hooing and thought they would punish the other girl.

I guess she thought I was joking about me backing the school because when we met with the principle I took her phone and went through her text massages and there was the proof that she had been the instigator. She was suspended for three days.
