The Bullying Experiment

I fought, stabbed, and walked away from bullies. I don't miss high school.

The only fights were with bullies. I remember violently putting my knee into this wrestler-bully's face, and it did not phase him at all. I was very concerned after that-it was all frantic defense after that pseudo coup-de-grace. What an epic fight. He put my nose under my eye ball and for 30 L O N G seconds all I could see was red blood- totally blinded. My friends whom I was defending greatly appreciated me even more after that. Walked to the family doctor to get him to reset my nose afterward; he refused and set me up with a specialist the next day. I pleaded with him because I knew it would set all f'ed up. Took the specialist four needle shots through my nose and two nurses holding my head while rebroke my nose. The specialist told my mother I was a good kid for not crying. Those face-needle shots hurt every bit as bad as anything I have ever suffered thru.

In college, this guy was beating the ever loving **** out of this young lady. My roommate and I intercepted him long enough to run interference and she escaped. When we did, as if summoned from plane, half of the entire Texas A& I javelina football team materialized to support the beating bully and surround us. We slowly backed into my roommates car and left very humbly.
How on earth have I lived this long? Bullies are everywhere they can surface without consequences. Not sure if I have the right approach to this problem.
