I have a canister style filter on my car, actually a summit brand. Installed by prior owner.
Car lost fuel pressure, only had about 2 psi. I took the canister off, removed the cartridge filter. The bottom plate of the cartridge remained behind. The glue holding the end cap on had dissolved. That same glue was covering the vanes in my fuel pump.
I believe ethanol is not playing nice with the filter cartridge.
I think I may take the filter off and install a different stainless or bronze style filter... no glue!
