360 help please

G'day RustyRatRod,

I have decoded the engine number and it is a 1973 360. Yes that is the only one that seems to be hitting.

I was told it has had a bit of work done with forged pistons, H beam rods, flowed and cc'd heads, stainless valves, "big" solid cam, ARP bolts etc. It has a Barry Grant 750 Might Demon and an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold.

cheers
Anthony

If that is the only one hitting, I would suspect stretched rod bolts or maybe even a stretched rod. That coupled with the bent pushrods is pretty much proof positive the engine was severely over revved.

How sure are you that is a 360? Our 360 here never got pistons like that.
