The beginnings



In July 1890 Fevre and Co. is formed. under the direction of Gustavo L. Fevre importing machinery and chemicals for tannery. In 1909 he became director 's son , Julio Fevre and in 1910 the company began importing cars from France Mors , Delaugére - Clayette , Aries, Delage, Delahaye , Citroën and Berliet . In 1914 , Diego Basset part in sports competitions with Mors imported by Fevre , while in the United States is founded by the Dodge Brothers John and Horace Dodge. In 1915 , the same July Fevre participates in competitive racing and in 1916 Paul does Fevre , always Mors . That same year, Fevre travels to the U.S. and get the exclusive representative in Argentina of cars and trucks as the Dodge Brothers. In 1922 the building that used to Fevre operations on Avenida Leandro N. builds Alem 1600 . In 1925 he founded the Chrysler Corporation by Walter P. Chrysler in the United States and in 1927 the company remains Brothers , becomes exclusive representative of its products in Argentina . In 1928 in the United States , Chrysler Corporation becomes owner of Dodge Brothers while in Argentina Don Diego Basset joins Julio Fevre and Co. . and the company changed its name to Fevre and Basset . That same year Resta Brothers becomes country representative also of Plymouth and Fargo. In 1931 Fevre and Basset, Resta Brothers buys the company , thus becoming representative in Argentina of products for Dodge, Plymouth , Fargo and Chrysler simultaneously. In 1932 begin to build cars and buses in the building of Figueroa Alcorta 3300, then known as the Palacio Chrysler in whose roof was a circular test track was well known and in 1935 the company name changed to Fevre and Basset Ltd. SAIC . In 1940 the building is vacated Leandro N. Alem concentrating all operations in the Palace Chrysler . After the Second World War, in 1946 SAIC Fevre and Basset Ltd. purchase 38 acres of land in San Justo, La Matanza , to build an industrial plant. The play begins in January 1948 and the plant is completed in 1950. With 50,000 square meters of space , this plant would later become the largest Chrysler after the U.S. and Canada. The Valiant


In 1962 the production of the first car Chrysler Valiant V200 is released. The Dodge
