I have a 360 magnum running a quick fuel super street series 680cfm vs carburetor on a dual plane Edelbrock Rpm Air-Gap intake manifold with a 1 inch 4 hole phenolic Carburetor Spacer.
Over the last couple days I noticed my idle getting rougher then it normally is, So today I decided to see if I could figure out what was going on, I went to hook up my vaccum gauge to the carburetor and while I was pulling the nipple cover off of the manifold vaccum port I notice there is fuel all over it.
So I tightend up my fuel bowl screws a little more and went to drive it and it's running worse... The idle is worse and now off idle is not right, before it was just idle but apparently me tightening the fuel bowl screws more did something. The only thing I can think of is the fuel that was dripping down must have ruined and broke the seal at my carburetor base gasket. Is my thinking correct? Can fuel dripping down from the carburetor on too the base gasket do this?
