If its a convertible 65 anything it will go for more than 10,000.00 no matter what engine is in it as long as it's enjoyable. Enjoyable being the key word here!
I pondered the same question, as I'm finishing a 66' dart GT convertible. California car, beautifully painted. But has a bad rod. I have two choices, Install another slant six that I already have, or put a 69' 318 auto that I have in it. I Intend to sell it once the car is finished. But,if I put the V8 in it, I will definitely be tempted to keep it. I also know that the V8's had 10" brakes,etc. Now I have an even bigger project if I were do it right. So far keeping the slant six is winning, as the mileage is great in that setup. Plus it is original.
