"the wayback "

I just post yesterday in the Early A section about doing this swap. Glad to see someone is doing this. If you don't mind I have a couple of questions. First It looks like you were able to keep the K frame. How about front suspension? Second it looks like you have done plenty of research for this build, So was wondering the cost of having the 2.4 built to make around 375/400HP. We research shows the 2.4 to weigh 339lb a 360 magnum weighs 540lbs So to gain any advantage of the weight lost by using the 2.4 the power would have to be in the range I stated above. Thanks Tim

Tim.

I chose a steel oil pan thinking it might have to be modified. Not the case at all. The factory steering linkage has clearance. I trimmed away a minimal amount of the Kframe back edge for front pan clearance.. Where the positioning of the engine sits, is where the factory intended the slant six or v8 to sit on the cradle. I am in no way one who mutilates the car to get the engine to fit. I am new to these engines. But through readings of my own I have read that 350-400 horse power is very achievable with factory parts and applications through good tuning
