In case someone missed it, this car is on ebay again. Auction ends on 1/14/2014 at about 3:00 PM eastern. 1969 M-code 'cuda notch with original engine and non-original transmission. No rust but wrecked in the left rear. Missing the manifolds, radiator, oil pan, driveshaft. Has lots of original documentation. The starting bid is $15K with no bids at this time. It is in San Jose, CA. I am having a hard time justifying it. I hope someone else buys it so I can quit thinking about it.

He would get more for the car if he had that corner pulled and stuck a 1/4 on it.

i think t might be worth what he is selling if for if he did all the sheetmetal work needed. without the original motor and trans its really not much...

Yep-very hard to get the original parts. But it is worth quite a bit more than a slant car.

He could have flipped it before he even had possession of it and put $3G extra in his pocket for doing NOTHING!!!!

Yes. I just took a better look at that left corner. Rail is toast among other things. I still wonder if it would be better to get that sorted out.... I think I would (but I have access to the equipment and ability).

Here is a picture of the frame rail. ABS makes new replacements. There is absolutely zero rust on this car and the grill is nearly perfect.

Just wondering who ABS is?, not familiar with them. They make replacement frame rails?
Thanks

I would straighten it also. But I thing there is more than that. I think the whole back of the car is twisted. Look at the right lower rear quarter. It is pulled under from the twisting of the car.

I'm sure the owner has estimates on the body work and also has an idea on what it would take to bring it back. The car definately has the"should be restored to original"status but not for the small pocketbook guy

Actually, Auto Body Specialties is a dealer, now I don't see them but AMD is probably the MFR. This is a picture from the catalog I downloaded a couple of weeks back. The car didn't sell anyway. Price is too high. I would hate to see it go for parts.

I wouldn't be afraid of it. It can be fixed for sure. I think I would put a good used rail in something like that instead of going after-market.

once you remove the trunk pan the rail will straighten out.
do not replace the rail.

To bad he is not going to fix it. Great car.

Yeah just another BS'er. Just like he BS'd the guy to stop bidding on it, saying "he ALWAYS wanted one of these to restore".......now he wants triple
the $$$$$$$$ ?????? WHATEVER!!!!!

Any pics of the rest of the rear underside? Tweaked right quarter? Right frame?
No, I didn't notice anything with the underside on the right, so I didn't take a picture of it. I see your point about the RR quarter, I noticed it as well. Also, look at the shock support center inside the trunk. Seems to be slightly buckled.
