Has anyone ever restored a buddy seat? What is involved? I have heard Legendary has replacement covers but how many different applications/ brackets are there? I have one with no brackets, will probably fab them. I want to squeeze it in between the factory buckets in my 68 dart ( I do mean squeeze) for some lateral support. I believe it came from a charger. Was this option ever offered in the A body? Thanks

I have a nice original used cover here from a B-Body buddy seat PM me if interested

I believe it was only an option in 75 and 76 and in the brougham models which were supposed to be really fancy.

I would think it might be tough to find original A-body brackets ......maybe a want ad might work??

I don't know for sure but I think a B-body one might be a little wider. The only thing is the B-body ones are going to easier to find because a lot of them had the option from the mid-60s on up.

maybe an aspen/volare unit will work ....probably a lot closer because a lot of A and F parts are suppose to interchange due to similar size.

i have this stuff from a package deal i bought, the foam is not that bad , and the bottom is nice for a redo seams the board in the middle of the rest itself is gone though . if you are interested make me an offer , i dont know much about them but i think they are a body? thanks ed
