Looking for cam help

I have to make a note here. The basic specs I gave above are off. The duration at .050 I gave was 230. It should be 10* less at 220. The reason is the roller cam is a bit more of a power maker requiring less duration.

Secondly, getting a "Magnum" cam with low lift at this (low) duration is hard to find. The extra lift would require head work. I do not know exactly how much lift a Magnum head will handle as in stock form.

Lastly, Making use of a "LA" cam in a Magnum block is possible but it does have a draw back. The "LA" cams are longer. There are two things you can do.

1; Either use the "LA" timing cover and basically convert a Magnum to a "LA" up front or

2; Call the cam manufacturer and ask them to make that "LA" cam you like fit a Magnum engine. They will just copy the grind on to the Magnum cam core and make it up for you. This "Custom" cam is not more expensive.

Below are some ideas. Remember, you can always call Comp or Crane or whom ever you want to do a custom cam easy.

A Comp cam. This is there Thumper line. This will idle like a monster cam but be easy to deal and drive with.

I'm surprised at the pricey price of the Crane cam! Though it is right in the ball park of duration and lift.
