Guys,
Any of you have a spare grille from a 69 Charger, from the Dukes? I don't care if the grill inside is black or painted, BUT I have this model that I bought at a yard sale, and I'm missing the grille and maybe the hood.

Anyone that has one PM and we could work out a trade, as I got a few models to spare for parts so.....Any help is greatly appreciated!

Don't have one, but it might be good to specify what scale.
1/25 or 1/16?

You know, your right, GOOD point, scale is 1/24 or 1/25th, one or the other its the newer model that's Revell I think.....

Altho, you speak of the 1/16th, I'd love to get my hands on the Hemi motor in 1/16h.....

Sadly, no BOTH MPC AND AMT-Ertl, has made the General Lee over the years..... needless to say, any one of those grilles will fit the body!

AMT-Ertl, made the first one, that was for Warner Bros. Back in the early 80's... HIGHLY collectable, I've got one! Its in 1:24th!

BUT, then Ertl sold their holdings of AMT, and it went back to MPC, they have re-released this model, AGAIN both in 1:24th AND 1:16th....

Which the old AMT-Ertl, is now known as MPC-Round 2. That's what these model will be found under.

Have a look:

Anyone got any junkers?

I believe I might have an extra grill and/hood. Are you building the diecast model or plastic model?
Also i have a 1/6scale Hemi motor still in the box, it has an opening in the back of the box to turn the flywheel to turn the motor over. I believe I got it from the Cornwell tools guy years ago. Here is a pic of it.

Scamp,
What might you be looking to get for the grille?

The Hemi motor that's pictured, looking to part wit it too?

I may be interested......... Trades in car models for the Charger grille? I got a few to trade for it, what ya looking for? Parts? and such.....Let me know!

If I have an extra grill, i will just give it to ya. What size was the car your missing the grill from again?

No, im not interested in getting rid of the Hemi quite yet, haha

I need the 1/25th grille!

As for something else, I got a TON of extra parts.....namely, Hemi Valve covers....I don't have, the heads! NOT sure who or what they go too, I picked them up at yet another yard sale some years ago......... I plan to use them in a sort of special project.....

See, in all modeling, I'm more of a Model Railroader then anything, in HO scale.....YES, I know that's quite small 1/87th. As you'll all find out, I love the Elephant..........426 Hemi......So in HO scale, how do you get a Hemi motor, that can be seen, and KNOW what it is at a quick glance? WELL, you add a Dodge Dealership, or Chrysler Dealership, Mopar of some sort anyway........... the sign they have, is a base to it, that has the "Mopar Girl" holding up the sign, and just ABOVE her hands, you have a 1/24th or 1/25th scale 426 Street Hemi (STOCK), with bell housing only.....THEN with a slightly bigger set of CHROME Hemi valve covers, on the inside, you put either in-line LEDs, or one small Grain of Rice bulb as the shades to shine down on the sign, that the sign pole just sticks up past the air cleaner just enough to shine down over the whole works......

I've even got the thought of incorporating a 1/4th size Hemi valve cover, into the ROOF of the building! The black ones! I got 2 of them! From Hawk models, as I have ALL 3 of the Hemi's they made the Street, the Pro-Stock, and the A990......NICE models by them self tho...... fun to build!

Can't tell, I'm having all sorts of fun with this huh?

I'd LOVE to get a spare set of the 1/16th Hemi Valve covers as the sign lite shades but........ that's pushing my luck! :-D

As for your Hemi, I thought I'd ask.....Have ya seen what I did with one of my 1/4th size Hemi models?

I have the Mopar girl tattooed on my back holding up the Pentastar instead of the old Mopar logo

That's cool! I took the little Blonde, and turned her into a Redhead,. with "Orange" clothing (what little shes wearing......)

That's what the sign will look like when I'm done. The original:

Then, I changed the sign:

Then, I changed her hair, AND clothing colors:

I did the whole lot on MS Paint, and will have this printed out as a photo to be used for the sign to the dealership I was speaking of..........

THEN, I did this with a Hawk Models 1/4th scale 426 Hemi:

I have yet to get the right looking "shade" for it as I'd like that to be black, and have "HEMI" embroidered in orange to go onto it........ Which, I'm working on.....My Wife is going to be doing the sewing work for me!

I just picked up some Hemi Orange, Panther Pink, and Plum Crazy Purple for a few up coming models, I'm going to be doin'!

No pics showed up.

Haha thats funny , my Mopar girl is red headed as well with a green bikini.... Its my tattoo for my wife she is red headed. Instead of her name somewhere.

I think the whole thing when its done, will look good!

I have an opened General Lee 1/25 die cast complete if you want it, but I dont have an extra grill or hood.
