AMD 73+ Duster fenders

Now if they can get the inner fenders figured out...........
I paid for a set back in October from Summit, yesterday they said maybe in 60-80 days, unless I would accept a set of seconds.....
I told them to ship the seconds, I cant wait another 3 months for a maybe.

I ordered a pair on Dec 26 (Boxing Day sale in Canada) and got the call too about taking the seconds. I asked about a further discount to take the seconds (which turns out to be an incorrectly positioned lip on the fender mounting surface, up instead of down) but they would not do an additional discount, so I said I could wait.

My only concern is that I've paid for them already.

This is good news from AMD and I will plan to send them a "thank you" email. They are a good vendor and certainly good for A body Mopars.
scatpackbee - from what I know of Summit I wouldn't be too concerned having already paid. I think they would give you a refund promptly if you asked.

Me to in October paid for them.
They said 60-80 days for the right ones as of yesterday.
Summit, just last night gave me 10% off if I would accept them.
They said minor grinding required to make them fit.
So the minor grinding removes 50% of the strength of the top lip, they told me just a minor tab........These might just be shipped back.

If you don't have to grind that tab off due to fitment issues, you might be able to weld a tab to the tab that would correctly position it...

Please let us know how the right side looks when you receive them, picture too if possible.

Your opinion will help me make my decision if I should take the right side too.

I don't think these fenders were really needed. Have you guy even looked around? Nice used Duster fenders all all over and usually $100 or less now try and find a nice 67-69 Barracuda fetnder for less then $600. That is what AMD should be trying to sell for $475.

I've got a straight inside urface rust only 73 fender in my pile of leftover Duster donar car parts I would give away locally at this point. I just dont have time or energy to deal with shipping.

Just think that if they fit correctly, at $75.00 per hour to fix rusty dented ones, it wouldn't take long to make up the cost of these and they are NEW with zero bondo!

Very true

Nice Duster fenders are not all over I spent a year looking for replacement fenders for my 71 Duster. I couldnt find them. Had to buy a pair of 72s. Being that it is a race car i dont care about the side marker difference. But I think for that price they better be nice.

X2 I would have gladly bought new fenders.
A year or so ago I drove 8 hrs to pick up a pair of $200.00 fenders, that looked great.
After sandblasting, I had to replace the fender bottoms and fix a few dents, I did the work my self, but there was not much cost savings vs new ones.

sireland67, What did the right side inner fender look like after all?

Was it usable with minor grinding?

You Dart and Duster guys are some lucky rascals. I emailed AMD and asked when the 67-69 Barracuda fenders would be available and their response was that they had no plans to make them.

They make a lot more Barracuda parts now then they did when I had my 69. Nothing was available then.

I here ya, after seeing all the Barracuda steel they have come out with lately and then seeing all the Duster fenders I thought it was a no brainer that the Barracuda fenders would be next. Guess I was wrong.
