Looks pretty cool even though almost no one can afford it. Very Mach 1 Mustang like.

Some millionare financier from india is bankrolling these. Heres the fucked up part he is converting existing shelby mustangs into these, saying it gives the car an instant pedigree.

I have to disagree with that logic. You ruin a.shelby mustangs pedigree by turning it into one of these. As cool as it may be.

The weird part is a Ford Mustang look alike with GM power:

The engine, a 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 featuring 640 hp and 605 lb.-ft. of torque, is the LS9 from a Corvette ZR1, capable of dashing to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 200 mph.

These are not made out of Shelbys. It is a totally scratch built car.

Not from the hot rod magazine article i read on these about 2 years ago. The magazine people went to india to check these out. The company owner stated he is using shelby mustangs to make these because of the cars existing shelby pedigree, and he wanted to build on that pedigree.

I bet you can find this online.

All I could find concerning what the car is.

Equus, however, created its frame from scratch out of superformed aluminum lined with carbon-fiber inner panels. This helps the Bass770 tip the scales at just 3,640 lbs. — 480 lbs. lighter than a Camaro ZL1.

Looks like a whole new build.

not sure about cutting up Shelby's it said nothing about that in the add but they are suppose to be built in rochester Mich. only three have been built and yes it looks like a mustage with a camaro front clip and gm drive train so why don't we all just build our

Yes, it does look like a frame up new build on this one. The article on the Equus way back in hot rod stated they were going to use shelby mustangs. I bet they recognized the needed to do a clean sheet of paper design because of constraints in the mustang unibody.

But carbon fiber over aluminum woohoo, good luck with that. Carbon fiber corrodes aluminum like nobodys business. Electrolysis corrosion. The high tech version of rock paper scissors, the carbon wins out over aluminum every time.

I work in the aircraft industry, titanium fasteners or stainless steel fasteners are used in carbon fiber because it will eat up aluminum so quick.
