1970 Swinger 340 Hemi Orange 4 speed

Great progress!

Thanks!!

My best friend Jason bought that car from a storage locker a couple years ago. My buddy is a long time car flipper, (mostly Chevelles, Camaros, and such.) He just loves a-body Mopars though. He was gonna pass on that 70 Swinger, but we decided it would be a fun day to rescue that car. He actually lost a couple hundred bucks on it. (towing). But, damn, has Randy ever stepped up to the plate on this one ! So GREAT to see it went to a good home. Amazing transformation so far. And not cutting any corners either !

Thanks Jason! I'm glad to bring this one back from the dead since it's the exact car I was looking for... All the perfect options for me to put it back to original.

I still haven't heard from the guy about the pedals. I'll try getting ahold of him again.

Love following your thread. I wish that I had the metal fab skills you do. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks for the compliment, your car is coming along great as well! Any updates from the body shop?

I agree there with what your saying. I also wish I had the skill and plus the patience.

Thanks for the compliment!

I've got it in epoxy tonight! I got the door striker welded on and I panel bonded the trunk extension along where it mates with the trunk pan because it would have been to difficult to weld/grind that seam from underneath.. I welded it to the outer wheel well tub and it will be welded to the rear bumper panel once I fix the rust back there. Hopefully I can fix the rust in the back, weld the rear bumper bracket on and put a little more epoxy on tomorrow. I will also drip check inside the wheel well tub at the seam now that it's epoxied.

Here's the seam sealer/solvent brush I bought to recreate the seam sealer mess
